It will work in collaboration with Stadtwerke München, the municipal utility operator and the TETRA operator for the event. Airbus DS will connect a TB3c base station to Stadtwerke München’s existing radio network, allowing German Army personnel and conference staff to use TETRA for the duration of the event. The radio system will have enhanced security levels, such as authentication and radio interface encryption.

Stadtwerke München will also once again be providing conference employees with TH1n Tetra radios, the smallest in the world, from Airbus Space and Defence. These devices are particularly suitable for concealed use and have been used successfully at the Munich Security Conference for several years now.
