Bittium’s contract with Croatia military continues

Bittium has announced that it is continuing to supply the Croatian military with communications technology. Solutions include the company’s Tactical Wireless IP Network system, as well as its Tough SDR vehicular radios, TAC WIN Waveform and ESSOR high data rate Waveform.

According to a spokesperson, the EUR 1.8 million purchase order is part of a four-year framework agreement between the company’s partner IntellByte INFO and the Croatian Ministry of Defence.

The spokesperson said: “Bittium’s solutions modernise the tactical communications of the Croatian Navy and Land Forces as part of the renewal of the command-and-control system of the Croatian armed forces. The goal of the renewal is to enable real-time situational awareness.

“The TAC WIN system is used to build a modular and survivable backbone network, [while] the high-performance Tough SDR Vehicular radios connect the Navy’s vessels as part of the network. Bittium Tough SDR Vehicular radios are planned to be used by the land forces for seamless communications with the navy.”
