Rohill migrates Jubail United Petrochemical Company to TETRA

Rohill has successfully performed the factory acceptance test for Saudi Arabia-based Jubail United Petrochemical Company (JUPC) as they migrate from a conventional system to TETRA.

JUPC selected Rohill’s TetraNode solution to replace their current conventional radio communication system through local partner Saudi Ericsson Communications Company. The project involves the design, construction, testing and migration of the new TETRA mobile radio system.

TetraNode consists of a carrier-grade platform that ensures the highest grade of availability exceeding 99.999 per cent. In addition, integration with modern IP/MPLS-based backhaul networks is fully supported. Using IP/MPLS, Rohill can offer redundancy options with less than 50 milliseconds of interruption in case of link or network problems. It also incorporates powerful dispatch features, including pre-emption of ongoing voice calls, PTT override, a patch functionality to instantly interconnect groups, and discreet as well as ambience listening.

The factory acceptance test for JUPC was conducted at Rohill’s Headquarters in Hoogeveen, the Netherlands, to demonstrate the functionality and features of the ordered system. The tests were completed according to schedule and passed without complications, demonstrating the compliance with the customer’s requirements.

This significant milestone confirms that the ordered system meets the criteria of performance and functionality and that the system is ready for its intended use.
