Two-way radio for major Mongolian event

Hytera has provided communications technology to Mongolian Music Festival, Playtime.

According to the manufacturer, Playtime is the largest festival of its kind in Mongolia and featured “some of the best new and established international and Mongolian live music bands.” 60,000 people visited the festival over the course of four days, in July.

Hytera provided the organisers with its HP68X and HP78X DMR radio terminals, as well digital repeaters and Push-to-Talk over Cellular devices.

Discussing the HP78X, a spokesperson said: “The device is optimised for use in noisy environments, allowing users to enjoy clear and [undisturbed] group conversations, enhanced by AI-based noise cancellation technology.”

Hytera Mongolia country manager, Nicole Bao, said: “For large events like this, flexibility is paramount, as the event unfolds and circumstances change. Therefore, having a reliable communications network is of pivotal importance to the management team.”
