Teltronic's South American public safety collaboration

The Brazilian region of Goiás’ Secretariat of Public Security has awarded Teltronic the contract to provide a TETRA network to the state police.

According to the company, it will be rolling out network infrastructure, as well as deploying its dispatch and control centre solution CeCoCo. Teltronic will also provide handsets, desktop units, and motorcycle-mounted radios in the field.

Speaking of the agreement, general director of Teltronic Brazil, Paulo Ferrão said: "We are honoured to have the opportunity to serve the Goiás Police with our state-of-the-art equipment and radios. This is yet another example of the capabilities and enormous possibilities that TETRA technology brings to communications in matters of public safety."

The Goiás’ contract follows-on from another recent public safety deployment in the southern state of Catarina.
