According to the company, the deal - which is worth $30 million - will see Hytera provide “the entire [range of] integrated communication solutions, [including] systems, equipment, terminals and services.” This follows its other recent work on Shenzhen Metro lines 6, 7, 9, 10 and 11.

Technology included in the roll-out includes the company’s 800M TETRA solution, DIB R5 base stations, on-board mobile radios and handhelds, as well as its 400M PDT station management system.

Speaking of the deployment across the whole of the Metro, a Hytera spokesperson said: “The objective is to cover as wide an area as possible and also provide easy connections to other lines, railway stations and surrounding cities.

“The 800M and 400M solutions provide reliable voice and data communication across control centers, station operators, train drivers and maintenance personnel, allowing individual and group voice calls with on-board terminals and handheld radios.”
