Continued development of the BiTEA Smart Lockers has created a utility style locker which provides a storage, charging, asset tracking solution for a wide range of applications and these lockers are in service with Public Safety organisations for storing and asset tracking radio devices and IT equipment. The same lockers have been adapted for supermarkets and retail distribution centres for storing bar code readers and printers.

The lockers are modular permitting growth from a single 5 door cabinet upwards.

The locker cabinets are made of powder coated steel. The carcase is grey and a choice of door colours is available. The doors can be solid, vented or fitted with a Perspex windows. Access to the lockers can be a simple mechanical lock or an electronic lock which can then also provide electronic access, asset tracking, remote control, networking and monitoring.

Automatic asset tracking records are produced detailing which user opened a door and removed or replaced an item along with a date and time stamp. Sensors in the compartments monitor if items are present.

The cabinets are mains powered with a battery backup and mains or DC charging can be provided. The inside of each compartment can be customised to hold different singular or multiple items and the internal brackets and shelves can be changed as required.
