Australian public transport chooses Teltronic

Teltronic is deploying TETRA to the Parramatta Light Rail project in the suburbs of Greater Sydney.

According to the company, it will be supplying its NEBULA network infrastructure, consisting of a switching control node and outdoor base stations. It will also provide on-board radio from its RTP series.

Speaking of the project, a spokesperson for Teltronic said: “This is one of the last major projects that the government of New South Wales is developing to provide new services to Sydney.”

Teltronic transport business development director, Felipe Sanjuán, said: “After the North West and Sydney Light Rail projects, this will be our third transport reference in the city. This highlights the strength of our solutions and the positive reception they have in Australia.”

The new line will connect the suburbs of Westmead and Carlingford, in the west of the city. It is expected to be operational by 2023.
