The South African Police Service (SAPS) has started operating from its 10111 Centre, a police call centre in Korsten, South Africa, which integrates a TETRA system to service the community within and around the Nelson Mandela Municipality.

TETRA is mainly used for SAPS communication, including 10111 centres, and is part of the migration from analogue to digital radio communication to keep with international standards for public safety. The Eastern Cape is the second province to use the effective and modernised system after TETRA first became operational in the Gauteng province of South Africa.
