Presenters will include the president of BDBOS, Andreas Gegenfurtner, who will discuss future-proofing and the potential opportunities presented by 5G.
President of the State Fire Brigade Association of Hesse Ralf Ackermann meanwhile will talk about digital alerting, as well as control centre migration and signal coverage in buildings. This will be of particular interest, following Hesse’s decision to carry out messaging via its TETRA network.
Speaking of the event, a spokesperson said: “PMRExpo is taking place for the 18th time this year. A large number of national and international exhibitors [will be] present, including manufacturers, end users, and operators of professional mobile radio systems.”
Other topics for discussion will include control projects, as well as the use of social media by the emergency services. PMRExpo will take place in Koelnmesse in Cologne, from November the 27th to the 29th.
